Visitor Health & Safety Policies
The health and well-being of our visitors, staff, and community is our priority. We are following public health guidance to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Thank you for helping to keep Homewood Science Center safe for everyone to enjoy.
Proof of vaccination: As of February 22, 2022, our temporary proof of vaccination policy has been suspended. Homewood Science Center will continue to monitor public health data to inform our policies and practices to maximize the health and safety of our staff, guests, and volunteers.
Masks: Face masks are required for everyone two years old and older. Masks should be worn over your nose and mouth for the entirety of your visit.
Mask refers to a complete and tight knit fabric or cloth, or a medical mask that is appropriately sized for the individual’s face to snuggly cover the nasal openings and mouth without the necessity of being held in place by the individual’s hands.
Bandanas, gaiters, masks with valves, mesh masks, and face shields without masks may not be worn. We encourage any visitor who is not comfortable wearing a mask–or cannot wear a mask for any reason—to return to Homewood Science Center when masks are no longer required.
Physical Distancing: Physical distancing is encouraged.
Hand hygiene: Hand sanitizer is provided throughout the building.
Health: If anyone in your group is not feeling well for any reason, or is within the isolation or quarantine period for either COVID-19 exposure or a positive COVID-19 test, postpone your visit for another day.
Risk: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Those visiting Homewood Science Center do so at their own risk to such exposure.
To promote a safe environment, we reserve the right to require visitors who do not follow our guidelines to leave the premises immediately. Any visitors who are disrespectful or discourteous to other guests, staff, or volunteers, or who engage in behaviors that are disruptive of others’ enjoyment of Homewood Science Center, may also be asked to leave.
