Partnerships and the Preserve

Homewood Science Center, a new nonprofit as of May this year, located in the South Suburbs of Chicago, pulled off ten STEM events in 5 quick months, engaging over 1500 participants in hands-on exploration. All for free.

The success of Homewood Science Center has stemmed from partnering with others who share our mission to cultivate an interest in and understanding of science. Our partnership with Izaak Walton Preserve has been incredible in planning our fall fest fundraiser.

"Our new friends from Izaak Walton Preserve have proudly shared the rich history of this special place in our own backyard. Please join us at Walk Walton on October 23 to experience the 'science of the season' and see what we have created for you!"

Edie Dobrez, Executive Director
