Homewood's Fall Fest was a blast!
There aren't any other festive autumn celebrations in the Chicagoland area that quite have the small-town charm of Homewood's Fall Fest.
Carriage rides, a pumpkin patch, the Chili Cook-Off, magic shows, awesome entertainment, and great grub from restaurants around town like The Cottage on Dixie and Aurelio's, Homewood's Fall Fest had it all!
Homewood Science Center, our new nonprofit located in the middle of Chicago's Southland, scored big-time at Fall Fest! We were appointed by Homewood's Village President, Rich Hofeld, as the festival's beneficiary for the Pumpkin Patch and the Chili Cook-Off. Thank you Mr. Hofeld!
Our volunteers were thrilled at the chance to raise funds for Homewood Science Center and the community certainly showed their generosity! With everyone's help, we raised $1400 at Fall Fest. How amazing! Thank you to all who contributed.

In our first 4 months, we hosted 9 STEM events
Engaging over 1500 participants, our first program, PopUp SCIENCE, explored topics like neuroscience, social psychology, botany, physics, engineering, and marine biology with hands-on activities. All for free.
Our next launch, the South Suburban STEM Network and the STEM Network Directory, connects STEM colleagues from all over the Chicago Southland, elevating accessibility to STEM programs in the South Suburbs.
Our programs are popular and our community deserves
more from Homewood Science Center.
